Agenda

Discuss Chapter 1 of the text. Compare three main methods of solving PDE, namely Finite Difference (FD), Finite Volume (FV), and Finite Element (FD). Introduce the Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method, and discuss its advantages and disadvantages. Go through a simple example, using each method and compare the results.
